Default Engine Check Light

i'm not sure what the problem could be but it usually happens when i'm driving on the highway on 5th gear. the engine light goes on right about then, not sure what is the problem. but when i'm driving in local streets on like 1-2-3-4 its fine. after the engine light is on when i stop and turn off the engine, it won't start after a while. would anyone know what the problem could be?

Code? Not sure but I'm assuming it could have something to do with my coolant or water pump? what do you think?

Pulling the code is the only way to get a definate relibale answer.

We can postulate and assume all day...but it probobly won't help you much.

Anyone have a link on pulling the codes??

remove your radio...there should be two plugs back mounted oh the metal frame..its the 2 pin plug..i believe its a blue plug, take a small piece of wire, strip it on each end, stick the wire into each opening on the Blue plug, thus jumping it, then turn your car to the ON position, your check engine light will flash if theres a code..each long flash is 10, short ones are 1..so for instance, if it goes blink blink blink blink..all short thats 4..youd then look up CEL 4 in a manual or ask one of us here...or you might get, long flash long flash, short short short....that would indicate 23..and so on, pull your codes until they repeat themselves..so that you know you got them all..start there..peace

Why does the VAFC make your light come on after 100+??
