When i bought my 01 lude it was used and the cigarette lighter had been disconnected, i resently got my ipod fixed and wanted to play songs. so.. i took out the radio and found the ground wire for the lighter, but the previous owner had put some extras so it wasnt clear which was the power for the lighter. we found the right power but then the radio would not work, the lights on the radio would come on but i could not get it to play music. i unplugged the the power and ground and then the radio worked but the lights near the rearview mirror did not. then whenever i pressed on the lights or opened a door the radio would go off, when the doors were closed it would come on again. This makes no sense because the only thing i did was plug the cigarette lighter in and then unpluged it. I have worked so long on this to get it to work, my next step is to take it to a shop which will charge an arm and leg. If anyone knows what i could do, you are my last hope.

hey the exact thing happened to mine when you press the mirror defrost does it do it and some time when you turn your car on as well you won't get any sound?
