Electrical Issues: Help please...
Car: Prelude, 2000
Miles: 95000
Problem: Electrical
Info: I have been fighting an electrical problem with my prelude for 12 months now. Last year my wife turned on the lights and the headlights worked but the tail lights were out, the dash lights were out, but the brake lights worked. After about 2 weeks of this, i hit a rather large pothole and they worked again. I went through the same situation a week ago but hit no bump to create the problem or fix the problem. I bought the schematics (SP?) and couldn't find where the problem could be. I assume that it is a loose connection somewhere.
Has anyone have had this problem? Do you know how to fix it? Thank you for any input with this problem.

electrical problems are about the hardest thing in the world to find on a car. I would start with the fuse box under the hood on the firewall check the fusable links for signs of burning or shorting then go on to the under dash box and check the fuses -- it you have a multimeter then pull her out and start testing the fuse relays for the dash lights, interior, etc.... good luck...
well you need to look at the schematic and write down all the possibilities of what ocul dbe the problem. like lets say the tail lights and dash lights are provided power through splice s128. that is a possible problem. i'd check the headlight switch. leave it plugged in and check if you have power to and from the switch. also ya know u hafta do the testing when the lights dont work. its most likely iether a loose connection or a relay like special ed said.
