Default driver side headlight (searched)

hey i have a 98 lude and my driver side headlight went out tonight, ive been reading on some archived posts and alot of people's passenger headlight has gone out many times, i figured i have the same problem but on the driver side. i use silverstars and on those posts they have said that silverstars dont last that long and usually one lasts longer than the other, well i bought 2 of them and the dirver went out, tehn i replaced that one, then it went out again, this will be my 3rd time replacing the driver side light! the passenger side one is fine, i didnt touch the bulb with my finger during installation im really careful about that, so what could it be? any suggesstions would be greatly appreciated.

You may have a bad ground connection or one of your wires is frayed causing the circuit to overheat, I am thinking that both lights use the same ground and that would not be your problem, sorry, dont have a wire diagram in front of me.

See if the connector to the bulb looks melted, compare both sides.
