drilling egr ports prelude sh 99
Is it possible if I just drill the ports all the way around and then get a vacuum and get all the scrap of it cux I try to pull it out with s metal screw but it broke so I just have the plug and the broke screw in the mani. Was trying to take the mani off but it seems there's no space on it so I just want to know the easiest way I can't get a slide hammer hardware store doesn't know and auto zone one is to dam big so reply please I don't know wat to do anymore im stuck with the first one and how many I have to drill some say just 4 and others say all of them im confuse

thats the best way to do it, i used the claw on the back of a hammer, but you gotta be careful not to hit anything, also take out the egr valve itself also and get that passageway cleaned too, some forget to clean that part as well, be easy with the cleaner if you use any

Will a 1/8 inch drill bit with a #10 screw work? The slide hammer I have the #10 screw just fits w/o having to file the head smaller.

use a bit slightly smaller than the screw, for a tight fit, and the screw should have good thread to hold when you pull out

Hey guys thanks for yhr info well I spend a half day on Sunday trying to pull them off and I did I got a slide hammer from advance and that did a great job u wouldn't believe how bad it was I was surprised today I clean them holes with egr valve just waiting on the plugs that I ordered from internet I have a can of seafoam waiting for me to pour in to the holes and egr valve hole planing to put 1/3 for all them holes than putting 1/3 on vac line and hoping that I would pass emission prelude 1999 sh BB6 130 thousand ish some more tips ?

Just put everything back put some seafoam on the egr ports as well on the egr valve ports it was horrible at dirst alot of white smoke for abt 5 min than took it for a ride it was better then I expected but now that is cool off I went to turn it on and check engine came back again so I dont know wat is it ima take it to AutoZone to see what if and it say is the same code what u guys think it is ?
