Default are the dohc F-series blocks and the h-blocks the same?

i know generally the f series are sohc's but the dohc exceptions like the S2K and the accord sir-t have a dohc-F that sort of resembles the h blocks in alot of ways. i read that the dohc-f's arent a part of the f-family. so are they like the H's or completely different than both fs and hs... because i saw a h22 dropped in an accord that came with a f20b.....soooo, shed some light prelude experts
