Default Does a stock P14 ECU support VTEC

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have replaced my H23A with a F22B1 and am wondering about the ECU. Some sites say just to run the VTEC solenoid to the ECU, but I'm wondering if the ECU already supports VTEC or do I have to get a different unit?

thanx for any help

RJ

No, nor will it run that engine correctly, as it was meant for an H23, get the f22b ecu.

OK, thanx.

In looking around, it appears that I need a Prelude P13 for a manual transmission but that's for a H22A engine and not the F22B1 that I swapped in from a 97 Accord.

Or do I chose an ECU from the F22b1 (P0A) which is OBD1 which is what the 95 Prelude is wired for?

The ecu has to match the engine, not the car. If you get an obd1 ecu, and you have an obd1 car, it will plug up correctly.
