Default diffrence in manifolds??

So from the posts I've seen it seems that the skunk2 mani sucks and the popular opinion seems to be that the euro mani is the best for our motor so far. I understand that they have no secondaries like the u.s mani but what else make it a better mani?? If I were to remove my secondaries my car drives like **** on intial throttle opening, So how exactly is the euro mani an improvement. I ask because I'm looking into buying a euro mani.

It allows the intake charge to flow a lot better at high rpms. The standard Mani is designed to be more fuel efficent by reducing air intake a lower rpm's , then opens the secondaries when vtecing (which also in a sense changes the runner length to be more optimal). The problem is all the metal inside gets in the way and hinders your high rpm air flow. Your car is probably bogging at low rpms because it's taking in more air, but not getting the fuel it needs to go along with it.

So will the Euro mani cause me to bog down or run slow in the lower RPM's???

Not much if you tune it right. It can hurt your bottom end slightly, but you get all the gain where you want it.

a lot of people solve this problem by taking out the butterfly plate and making a gasket to cover the "low rpm" runners, this way theres no metal in the way and you only use the big, longer runners.....these runners are very close in comparison to the euro-r runners....so the only real diff is maybe some turbulence will be caused b/c of the 4 "dead" runners that you have left now.....i have heard that it does make more power with just the 4 big runners open than all 8 open, but i have yet to try it, and i am still tryin to figure out what to make the gasket out of, i dont want it to fail and get inside my engine......that would be BAD!
