it died!!!
well, first i have a 92 prelude si w/ the h23. i'm not too mechanically incline to bear with me if you will:
well here's what happened. first off it started with a knock comming from around the distributer cap area a while back. i went away for about 2 months, came back, check engine light was on, before i was able to get it to the shop it squeeked bad, at a stopsign i took off, shifted to second, gave it gas, then it's like the whole car just drops. tried to start it back up, would turn over and run rough as hell for about 2 seconds then die again. from trying to start it up to see what would happen the batter was toast from sitting for so long. i let it sit overnight and tried to start it the next day but the battery was pretty much gone from sitting there and not being driven for a long time.
right after it happened it smelt like burnt plastic. but nothing external from what i could see. what should i be looking for here. sorry if it's not enough information to go off of, but let me know what i need to tell someone to help get a better diagnosis of the problem.

and why the **** is it that now that im on deployment i am seeing all these people from Va beach on Honda-tech!!! it used to be me and jon and that was it in the prelude section. now we are flooded!
dude, go to hpoa.org and there is a section for prelude clubs. click that and then go to VAPOG. a lot of good guys in there. most of em are from the HR. maybe one of em would be willing to help you rip off the dizzy and the valve cover. see just how trashed it all is.
