Disclaimer: This thread is not really Prelude or Honda specific but I need some ideas.
I intend to replace the laminated cardboard crap (under the carpet) that separates the donut from the rest of the trunk. First, it's not strong enough. Second, previous owner caved mine in pretty well. So, I really want to use a better material. It needs to be something sturdy, yet lightweight. It also needs to be able to have a hinge installed in it so that part of it can flip up while the other part remains stationary. I'm leaning towards ¼" plywood, but I'm sure there's something better. Any ideas?

i did the same thing but i didnt use a hinge....1/4 inch plywood cut right about where u did. i then screwed another strip of plywood under the back piece that acted like a little lip.. the front peice rests on top of it. Hopefully that makes sense
