compression test
honda prelude 2.2vtec 1994 model
what happens if you dont disable the ignition module before doing the compression test on the engine?
Does it damage the distributer?
thanks in advance..

no. The motor will try and start, not only will you PROBABLY get a nasty shock from the ignition wires, but your ecu will throw all sorts of i hate you codes. Just disable it. It wont hurt the dizzy by it doing its job. (creating spark rotating the cam shaft etc etc.) And yes it does suck being shocked by the damn thing.
