i forget what my exact numbers were (closer to 100 across the board), but those seem very very low.

Looks like you turned it by hand until you couldnt turn anymore to get those numbers.
Since the motors out of the car this is what you do to get a good test.
Get a starter and slap that thing on.
Next get a battery.
Set up the compression test like you normally would (you want from the crank pully to the dist.)
When your ready to start the test and have the compression tester inside piston 1 hot wire the starter and let it spin 3 times.
If the numbers are still low because it hasnt been running for a long time, drop a drop of oil in the piston camber and do it again.
repeat for each piston. good luck
