compression test ?
had the compression checked on my 01 prelude turbo... 163 166 165 167, the people at honda who did it said that the compression should be no more than 185 and no less than 135... are these good #s bc i see some peoples ludes reading like 195 across the pistons... how can that be if honda says no more than 185... also im runing a low compression head gasket if that makes a difference... the car is tuned very well at 8psi and runs fine...
as long as the numbers are the same all the way across the board (+/- 10) then is all good, unless they are really low.
For example: 90, 95, 87, 97. Those are extremly low numbers and then you should be worried about the piston rings, or valves not holding compression.
Do a leak down test. it helps more, becuase it lets you know if you are haveing bad compression it will tell you if its on your intake or exhaust valves, or which piston rings is bad. i.e 1, 2, 3, or 4
