Default Compression : Problems Ratio

I was just wondering what kind of problems arrise as the compression gets higher. I've heard some things such as past 12.0 ....its harder to start the engine.....don't know if thats bogus or not, but just let me know some. I'm currently working on an n/a setup - and i'm thinking about running the Skunk2 Stage III cams....I know it'll require very high compression to get the most power.....i'm thinking about 13.0

Opinions please.

More heat is produced when you raise the compression, and the chances of detonation are higher.

as a result a good tune and higher octane may be required.

You will also go through more gas with the compression being higher.

Good tuning and higher octane gas as suggested before would
be your best bet with this setup
