We are currently runnnning about 12.5 or 13 to 1 on meth. The next motor I build will have much more. Meth loves compression.

i dont think there is a needed compression, but since methanol is less volatile you should be able run up in the teens with proper tuning and not worry about those high heats igniting the air fuel mixture and not your sparkplugs.

isnt bisi running meth, and i think his compression is around 15:1, im not sure on that

What kind of gains are you expecting going from 16:1 to over 18:1? Thats diesel.

Some of the quickest cars in the country are 16:1 and under. Norris are you running that damn high also?

Good thread

i would think you would run into a problem of only being abled to have so high of compression. i was thinkin if the whole motor was zero clearence it would be around 15-16:1. how do u get 18:1 compression? how much displacement is involved?
