Coilover Problem
I know this may sound stupid, but heres the deal. I got my skunk2 coilovers instaled last week, today I decided to lower my car even more. When I tried to adjust the two rings underneath the spring, they are on there so tight I couldnt even move them. Am I retarded or just doing something wrong??? Shouldnt the locking rings adjust easily up and down the coilover sleeve???? Any help would be greatly appreciated..................

No I dont think so, I didnt even know there is one, can you elaborate please????

Skunk2 sleeves use a pair of locking rings. They come with a pair of spanners. You MUST release the lower ring before trying to move the upper one. It is also wise to raise the car up and even take off the wheel to get to the sleeve and also releive the pressure on the spring.
Skunk absolutely does NOT use an Allen locking device-that is the setup that Ground Control uses.

I hear what you guys are saying, the problem is that the rings dont budge. The bottom ring is on super tight and its impossible to move it. Any tips on how to get it loose???

Ground Control uses the Allen wrench set up..
he is using Skunk2, therefore stop giving him advice about the allen wrench
Make sure all the grit and grime is out of the threaded body, that makes my GC's harder to rotate..I assume Skunk2 is the same..but since you just got them installed, I highly doubt that part.
Relieve all weight if possible. Make sure your car is jacked up, and remove the wheel. If there is any unsprung weight on the spring, you aren't going to move ****.
Next, there are two locking-rotating, uhhh thingies.
(for lack of a better word.)
The bottom one must loosen first, for the top one to move down, and the top one must loosen first to raise it..
You should have two wrenches that came w/you setup, so you can loosen the rotating parts...If not, just grab a big set of pliers and a towel (so you don't scratch em up.) and tell however you purchased the setup to get em to you ASAP.

wd-40 my man... Thats what you need to spray in them to get them to free up... Everytime i adjust my SKUNK2 coilovers I have to do that.... Dunno why, but they lock good and tight.. Plus, u had em pro installed and they make sure everything is good and tight!!! My advice... Buy a membership to a gy.. Work out for the next 8 months... try moving them again... J/k

Hey JTC dudeman, since you got skunk2's also what do you do about the treaded ring. What I mean is it is not attached to anything so you gotta hold it tight with something in order to be able to rotate the two adjusting rings. ???

use WD-40 like JTC said and used the two wrenches at the same time putting pressure against the top locking-rotating, uhhh thingies liek d said and also the bottom one in opposite direction. I use to have skunk2 on my civic and they were a bithc to adjust.
I know what your saying...the Threaded body is spinning right??
Get a towel and some big *** pliers and have someone else grab the Threaded part (use the towel so you don't mash up the threads.)..then you can turn the two uhhh rotating thingies....hopefully that is.
D, who is glad he got GC coilovers..
If all else fails get a big fuggin cheater bar, put it on the rotating wrenches and kick the ******...
make sure not to mess up your fender though.. get a towel or something in between.

Just get some big *** pliers, or some big *** vice grips..
If you get some vice grips, you can lock on to the threaded body (make sure to use a towel so you don't mess up the threads..Just position it so the vice grips lock on, but are wedged against one of the other suspension parts so it doesn't spin.
