Ok I was pretty much sold on the Koni yellow and GC combo. But recently I have been looking at other brands and I am having my doubts. Personally AMR and similar brands look beefier. And to be honest I just come out and say it they look better. But looks isnt going to sway my decision, only if two setups were the same performance wise would looks be taken into account. So everyone jump off the Koni/GC bandwagon and truely look at each coilover. I was looking into the Ksport and AMR so those are really what I would like to compare the koni/gc to.
all those coilovers from no namers have the same design, same patent
some dont offer warrenties like koni and eibach. million mile = eibach, lifetime = koni

Do some research but i would bet you that they are all the same, just different companies, i mean for christ sakes, greddy makes coilovers now!

- Armaggeddon
Personally I think GC and Koni is a great combo.

i know some people who said there tein coilovers started to bottom out after 20-30 thousand miles i just dont this coil overs are set up for your average day roads ex. speed bumps, pot holes unpaved roads etc... where as koni are a little more stiffer shock imo and can taker a lil more beating and they have the lifetime warranty, and GC are great there made by eibach and have the million mile warranty and koni and GC are easy to adjust i would go with the koni and GC if you a daily driver.
you want pure proof?
look at the faq in the suspension forum.
they have done shock dynos (if you know what those are) of all the major brands.
pretty much koni shocks outperform them in every way. theres a reason most race teams use koni's on the track (not drag strip) than almost any other brand.
and if you revalve them to what you want, they will pretty much whoop up on anything w/o spending 4k.
obviously a prop to you for wanting to know the hype but "looking beefier" isn't the key. they are just don't perform as well as koni's can. will you know the difference? unless you drive alot and autox or road race...probably not. but they will last a lifetime
