The 43 code is usually a bad O2 sensor. It can also be the FPR, fuel filter, or possibly injector or bad gas from what I've seen and read.

Walker is OK. I had an issue with 43 CEL and bought exactly the same sensor. Also replaced the fuel filter and adjusted valves. It helped.

Check for air leaks. #1 cause of mad rich engines. This overly rich condition is probably what fouled your O2 sensor. Was it really carboned up? When I read rich running threads, I always see people that ask if they changed their fuel filter. Please explain to me how a restriction in fuel delivery can make a engine run rich.
