Default code 23

ok ive had code 23 for like 2 months and nothing is changing. I tried to different ecu's, checked for continuity and it was there and also just replaced the actual sensor itself annd still have the code. any ideas. Theres nothing left to test.

This is in a 4th gen correct? So you got continuity when you checked from the engine harness knock sensor connector and ecu pin D3? Does the cel come on right away after clearing the ecu and starting again or does it come on after driving?
Did you follow a flow chart during testing?

it comes on after a few minutes of driving when its completely warmed up. no i didnt do a flow chart, kinda randomly did all of the tests seperately. yes its a forth gen. its a 99 motor using a brand new obd1 knock sensor.

Check for a bad connection at the ecu,ks,and connections at the passenger shock tower for loose wires. I think the odb1 and obd2 knock sensors are a different shape so the engine harness ks connector may be loose or something, i dunno good luck.

ok, i rewired the knock sensor so i know all connections are good. the sensor itself is only a month old, timing is set correctly, and i have tried 2 different vtec ecus and 1 non vtec. the two vtecs still throw a code. 1 is jdm and one is usdm, one throws code immediately and the other waits like 5 minutes. any ideas?

are you using the original shielded wire for the knock sensor?
