Default Code 14

I started throwing a code 14 about a week ago. I already checked it and it's an Idle Air Control Valve problem. I don't know what to do to fix it though. Ever since i started throwing this code my car has been acting very funny. At low rpms in every gear (worse in the first couple gears) my car bogs out really bad. I can't even launch my car normal anymore without it jerkin back and forth horribly, I have to launch at a much higher rpm than normal. Also, when accelerating and decelerating when i press the gas or let it go it hesitates and jerks. It never use to do this before, used to be VERY smooth. It doesnt seem like an IACV problem would cause these kind of symptoms...I'm lost.

*edit* Are the IACV's for H22's and H23's different?

If you dont have the money to replace it, you can take it off and clean it. Theres two 2mm bolts and 2 coolant lines and 1 electrical plug. Take these off and the iacv should come off. Theres a screen that can become clogged with carbon, clean it off with a toothbrush and/or carb cleaner.

Yeah, i just cleaned it probably like a month ago. But now i have the IACV from my H23 on my Euro-R...maybe that has something to do with it....? But it didn't start throwing the code until a couple days after getting swapped onto my H22...

Check majestic hondy part #'s.
Does the cel come on instantly once engine is started?
Make sure your getting 12volts to the iac(black yellow wire) on connector.

Pull the IACV off and check the screen. if its black and full of crud, clean it. If its clean when you pull it off you could have a monster vac leak.

Yeah, as stated earlier in this post i have already cleaned it. Having a big vacuum leak could cause the IACV to throw a code? Cause i do have a big vacuum leak but sounds like it coming from somewhere under/around the intake manifold.

im haivng the exact same problem with my car! i have a 93 z6 with an IACV from a different car, and only one bolt lines up. i assume this is creating part of the problem. i fixed it once by cleaning out the iacv and putting some silicon around the gasket, but it has come back again. i am going to try a new IACV and ill let you know how it goes!

anyone else have any other input?
