Default Clutch

Well I jump in the lude to go play poker and guess what it starts. I try and shift gears a no go. WTF ok so I turn the car off and put it in gear and try to start it wont start. So it starts when not in gear but wont go in gear when the cars on, and wont start if the cars already in gear. I'm gonna guess that I need a new clutch master and slave cylinders, but a confirmation would help. I just put a new clutch in about 40k ago but it showed no signs of grinding or resistance to go in gear due to worn out clutch.

Sounds like your clutch disk is warped. Happened to me. I couldn't shift gears when the car was running....but it would shift fine when the car was off.

If I were to bet....I would say one of the springs popped out of your clutch disk.

What kind of clutch did you have installed?

if blew a clutch disk racing with my teg back in the day...the spring flew out...but i could still press on the clutch and get the thing going...but it grinded like a mother F*** so if the spring was loose...when you press on the clutch you can defenitly hear it !!...if there is no sound when you press on it...might be something else...check to see that the forks on your tranny arent messed up...maybe thats the problem...cuz if you cant put it in gear while the car is offf....?/??? im really not sure what the problem could be...

When I had the new cluch put in its bc my tranny went out and it was still under warranty. So Honda did it I really don't know what ever factory parts Honda uses for clutches.
