Default cleaning bare block - FRM friendly chemicals?

hey I just got my spare h22a ripped apart, and was gonna drag it into work at some point to clean it up... I got nothing against some good old fashioned elbow grease with a toothbrush or wirebrush for the externals, but i'm also a little concerned about the frm liners... for example if i was too give the engine a varsol rinse/bath, does that kind of solvent eat up the frm? or is it not as delicate as I think?

while we're on the subject, does anyone know if hot-tanking is ok for these blocks?

just want to get it sparkling for the new goodies...

They're all aluminum. OP, you can hot tank the block without any issues.
