ive been searchin around looking for info on performance chips and other easy ways to get a few hp.. on my past cars you could get a performance chip for about 100.00 bucks and ad 15-20 hp... everywhere i look on this forum everyone is talking about swapping ecus and stuff ive never heard of ... what should i useif i just want a few extra hp and dont have any plans of major mods in the near future ?

the only way to benefit from chipping is to get something you can tune. If your car only has minor mods its probably not worth your time.

DC Headers have a good reputation. When it comes to extractors, its worth paying a little more for a set that will last the life of you vehicle. Stock exhaust size is 2.25 Inch which is more than enough for an N/A Prelude although you could go up to 2.5 inchs if your going to replace the whole system. Total power gain with extractors, high flow cat, and sports muffler 6-10 Australia Hp approx. Installing a cold air intake will increase torque and low to mid range power. With whole system running effectively your probably looking at 7 - 15 Hp Max. If your not into heavy mods these small changes will give you just a bit more torque and power that you will notice and will certainly give you an advantage over a stock setup.
