Default check engine

the other night me and my friend got done swaping a jdm dohc f22b into his 92 prelude si 4ws and we were just test driving it and went to the gas station and one the way back the cat back got disconnected from the cat and the car died and the check engine light went on then we started it back up and the check engine light was on and the car died again. has anyone ever had this problem before or knows what it might be????
also the car has a chipped ecu from a 91 accord ex with a jdm dohc f22b swap

sounds as if the O2 sensor itself or the wiring may have been damaged when the exhaust came apart.

yes. Id say its more a bad tps than your O2 system. Even if your cat fell off and tour the wires from the wire harness off, it would not send a signal to the ecu, and the ECU would run open loop as a saftey feature.

You having a chipped ECU might not be the case.

Only one way to find out. Put that exhaust back on and wire it back up.

not to be an ***, but if your exhaust fell off there is no telling what else was not done right.

I can understand that. Everyone blows their first couple engines up.

Its a very exspensive learning process.

Do you know how to check the TPS?
