my 92 lude is throwing a CEL code 36, anyone know what this code is and how to fix. i just finished my h22a1 swap and have this problem.

 

Are you sure it's code 36 and not codes 3 & 6

Code 3=Map Sensor
-Open or short in MAP sensor circuit
-MAP sensor
-ECM

Code 6=Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit
-Open or short in ECT sensor
-ECT sensor
-ECM

Yea, code 36 is unknown but 3- is a MAP sensor and 6- is an engine coolant temp. sensor.

 

I think code 36 is traction control

 

It maybe but the 92 doesnt have traction control.

 

This is true... but he's swapped his engine so I'm thinking the ecu he's using came from a car with traction control.
