ok i no this is quite random but i have a question and i dont no who to go to for help.. o k well i have a 2001 honda prelude and its burning oil like crazy and my check engine light keeps on coming on. i had my friend look at it and he started changing my oil. things were great. he fixed my check engine light and my prelude started running smoother when he changed the oil. then a few days after, my prelude started acting up again. the engine light came on again and then i started leaking oil like crazy. when id go to school and come back to my car there would be a big puddle of oil under the car. i dont no whats wrong with my car. i no the bolt to my oil pan is stripped and i need to get that fixed but theres nothing wrong with my engine, sooo why is the engine light coming on? i need answers please.! thank you.

 

ummmm, why don't you find out what the code is and then we can help?

 

Your friend just reset the code, then code came back and engine started running rough. obd2 < obd1. The oil thing sounds like a seperate problem, take care of that stripped bolt for sure.

 

thats the problem ive been looking for the code and i cant find it my best friend looked in my hood for some number and then looked at the wires in the passenger seat and just started counting. then he did something to the wires and the light went off. if he had the code he didnt tell me about it.

thanks but why does my car feel like its shaking everytime the check engine light comes on. like when i come to a full stop like say a stop light, it feels like my car is vibrating. what is that?
