The person that I bought my car from did not not put the bump stops on when they put put the coilovers on and I didn't have any problems on good streets but it would make a loud bump and was pretty jarring when I hit a big bump. You should probably be ok, but if it was me, I would take it back apart and put them in.

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com has them for $11 each.

I believe there is another Honda website that has good prices too. Hopefully someone else will post up if I can't remember the name.

Rule of Thumb, if your sitting around asking yourself if you really need a part on your car to have it run right, the awnser is, yes. After all those countless hours of work, you have to do it again.

What do you mean you spent $400 to put the shock in ? If you installed them then its free, if a shop installed them, then its not your mistake - the shops and they should take responsibility. Honestly, don't even bother putting the bump stops back in if you're only dropped 2 inches. When you later decide to drop over 2.25 inches then you should worry about bumb stops. Just don't go offroading with your Prelude and you should be fine.

Damn, that rules out Rally Cross. Ha.

I think it depends on how you feel about it.

1. You probably won't have any problem if you are careful.

2. If you are like me and when you are driving your car you worry that maybe you didn't do something correctly and you want to pull everything apart just to double check, then yes, put them on.

IMO I would put them on.

Put them in, better safe than sorry. Plus it should be easier to remove and install the 2nd time around.

Absolutely, esp at 2" lowered. Without bumstops, bottom-out even once and those shocks are gone.

I've been looking at some pictures of bump stops, is it posible to make one out of rubber that would still work?
