Re: Brake Lamp light on? (FalconMan)
Probably replace a brake light. One of them has gone out. Mine always comes on when I take my top 3rd light out to clean the car...

well on the 4th gen it takes about 2 minutes.
Find out which side is out (just have some one stand on the brake and see which one does not come one, or I think you can turn on your parking lights too and see which one does not come on).. then open up the access panel in the truck, remove two screws, pull out the assembly replace bulb, put everything back together.

Parking light circuit is different then brake light - so if you have a brake light out, looking at the parking lights will not tell you.
If you have to do it by yourself, back up close against a wall / garage door when its dark, and step on the brake.

Ya, jdm is right... My advice is to get someone to stand behind the car while you apply ur brakes.... I had my top brake light removed, and i would drive downthe road and my brake lamp light would not come on until I hit the BRAKES.... So, you have to be pushign the brakes to tell... AND remember, the 3rd brake light is not a parking light, so if its that one, you wouldnt even know it, or i guess would by incoorect yet lucky assumption..Best of LUCK with IT

the LED's in the wing will not turn the warning light on, but I believe the regular bulb mounted inside the car at the top of the window will.

the parking light indicator on the dash will come on because your parking brake it still enguaged, or your brake fluid is low. Atleast on every single car i've owned, the on the dash brake light has never come on when a bulb has blown out. Even now, my right brake light is out, and no brake lamp on the dash.

also, there is no parking light that when out will cause the warning light to come on.
The top bulb on the drivers side of the tail lights is burned out.
I turn my parking lights on, and the left one (drivers side) does not turn on.
The Brake lamp warning light on the dash is on.
I replace the bulb, the parking light turns on, and the warning light goes out.
Explain it, since its not supposed to happen that way, according to you.

Re: Brake Lamp light on? (Lildrgn Half EVIL)
i have a problem with my break lamp indicator going on also.. sometimes when i drive, it lights up.. at other times, it's doesn't.. this problem has happened before, and i brought it to a honda technician.. there was a bitten wire and they fixed it..
the same thing is happening again.. i checked the light bulbs and they are still in good condition.. i pressed on the pedal and my right break light won't work.. could there be something wrong with the wiring again?
p.s. i brought it into a honda tech to check it out again, but they didn't do crap to fix it..
