To my understanding a 2.3 liter H-series engine is as big as it gets.

People stroke them to 2.6 liters though... With good results.

2.6 liters...that is sick. do you have to get high comp. pistons to up the hp w/ that?

1mm over is still a 2.3L

2mm over makes it a 2.4L. I did the math a long time ago, if I remember correctly it increases the displacement by 126cc's.

can you bore by changing sleeves or do you actually bore the sleeve itself?

umm...you can bore and hone the stock sleeve a max of .25 over to 87.25mm

anything above that and you have to resleeve the motor. Sleeves usually will be installed like 30 under 87mm, then the machine shop bores them out to whatever piston size you chose. Max bore on an H series iron sleeve (aftermarket) is 89.5mm, 90 is pushing it.

I am bored to 89mm.

cause they weren't 87mm....

did not not measure the pistons and the block? to see?

And why the hell would you be trying to put forged pistons in a stock block?

So those of you who have bored above the 87mm, what kind of result did you get across the graph?

if you kept compression the same....boring increases hp and torque fairly proportionally...but usually people up the compression at the same time so it's not so cut and dry
