Default Blown engine fix

I'm now considering fixing the SI vtec with the blown motor. The owner said he ran the oil low. If this is the case, how hard of a fix do you think it would be? I'm going to have a mechanic check it out this week but i was hoping for a little feedback so i know a little more going in.

if it was run low on oil, chances are the bearing are shot... and possibly the oil pump might have taken a dump. if you are rebuilding, have the crank inspected carefully, and do the routine stuff like new water pump, oil pump and pick up tube, and a fresh hone. new main bearings and rod bearing and make sure to check your clearances. honda has very tight clearances so be precise.
