Which is the best engine to swap in a 2000 honda prelude?

What is wrong with your engine? You should have an H22, just about the only thing you would put in a Prelude anyway.

 

umm sorry to sound stupid but.. what car has f22a1 engine? Also, i have a auto lude and want to buy an engine w/ a manual tranny. Do you know about how much that iwll cosT?

F22 is a 130hp SOHC from a 4th gen S model. You don't want that....go with Ford.

 

Prelude S. It is the worst 92 up USDM prelude engine to have, I should know.

Why don't you just do a manual conversion? I am sure if you run a search you can find some people on here that have done it.

You already have the best engine, so does pretty much every 5th gen lude in the us. What you want is a new transmission.

If you are having trouble differentiating between the two, or finding the info you need from the above link, I would recommend you just sell your car and buy a manual rather than trying to do the conversion yourself.
