bellow boot
i was wondering what a bellow boot was.. i went to wheel works or something.. and they said my bellow boot was torn, and it really doesnt affect driving, but i hear a constant knocking at low high gear rpms sometimes.. and was wondering if it could be the source of the problem..
its that.. compressible boot right? its ribbed kinda likea condom.. haha..
you sure it wont cause knocking? because like at high speeds and when im on the throttle (high gears low rpms) it makes a clicking sound.. close to knocking but like 2 parts arent fitted together very well sound...

ATTN: I speaking from the POV of a civic owner, that being said when I replaced my one boot I went ahead and replaced them both and both tie rod end ball joint boots, on my civic the drivers and passenger side boots are different as well as the clamps, so you may want to make sure your are getting the correct side. Hardest part of the job for me was just getting access to the clamps to secure them via bending the tabs on the clamps themselves.
Changing the |bellow boot (13)| is a DIY job, I had to buy the boot from a dealer so it cost me a little more but just buy the boot online, while you at it you will also need |clamp (11)|, and you may want to buy the |tie rod end ball joint boot (15 or 17)| because you have to remove the tie rod end to put the new bellow boot on and may end up damaging your current tie rod end ball joint boot in the removal process. You should be able to reuse your |spring clip (15)|.
Afterwards you are more than likely also going to need a wheel alignment.
