Default Grinding while turning

I get a grinding noise while turning, but only when in gear. Very sharp turns it kinda bobs back and forth. Im having trouble figuring out what it could be. Little help would be nice!

CV joints, take a look under your car, look for grease spatter or an obvious rip in the boot.

Could be alot of things. Sounds like its not a very decent shop in my opinion if they just guess on things to replace. Since it only happens when in gear, then its movement related when the car is going... to get even more technical you could drive it on an empty road or parking lot at 10-20mph put it in nutruel and turn, if it doesnt do it then, its directly related to the transmission. Have fun, try to find a better shop

Yea you got ******* ripped off. I'd give them mad **** for that. From the sounds of it, you got axle problems. Ball joints don't grind. Go smack those amateurs around...or I will for them being so stupid

i don't know whether to laugh or cry that your mechanics thought that ball jts could "grind"

unless you're doing a bluntslide on a curb with your suspension, there's no way...

when you say they replaced your CV joints, do you mean they replaced the axle? or used the same axle and just repacked/greased and slapped on a new boot?

Ya no ****, by the sound of this shop those CV's are probably not installed correctly.

Somone should post a pic of what they should look like so he can inspect his.
