b20a5 question
hi, i have a b20a5 engine in my 89 prelude, i would like to know it its true that the top of the engine is knowsn to be weak and that it is usefull to change the cams and the cam shaft. and that it would give me more constent power all the way up in the revs, cause i noticed that by the end it gives more noise but not more power.
thanks
thanks
it`s not your head thats gonna be giving u problem, is that rods in our block the tend to jus let themselves out of the block from time to time.thats why they call our motor the bastard b series we don`t do hi revs. 7200 is fuel cut and thats it.
hey guys, thanks for the respons. hondatec, this might be a silly question but i dont quite understand what rods you are talking about. and, if i put on a turbo what internals will i have to change? my engine is completely stock. i wouldnt put on a really powerfull one, i am not looking to do an all out rebuilt of my engine.
sorry when i meant rods i meant ur connecting rods.we call it cancer cause it get a rod knock at first thats how you know that your connecting rod is going to go it`s mainly the number 3 and if u want boost i suggest u do a rebiusl there anotha fellow luder in another froum running a supra (supra`s factory turbo) on his lude all rebuilt motor makin 400 to the wheeels
Just clik on this link and it should give you a good idea what you can do with your B20A5 engine regarding boost.
