Default almost in the 10's

Well I finally got to the track again and got just about as close as you can to breaking into the 10's
r/t .127
60' 1.783
330' 4.895
1/8 7.337
mph 102.84
1000' 9.355
1/4 11.010
mph 139.27

I did bounce the rev limit in 4th just before the finish but still not to shabby for a 3000 lb pig.

as for the setup....
h22 built
gt40R
1600 cc's
AEM EMS
full-race topmount
GE IM
24.5x8.5 M&H
and some other stuff...

I big to Joe @ Tempest, it's been a long time coming but this car will hit 10.XX soon.

I have a video and a pic of the time slip that will be posted when I get time.

look at his avatar... yes it is a 5th gen. I agree with minor weight reduction you would be in the 10's with a good run. His Horsepower figures are in his sig. The worlds fastest prelude is mid 10's isnt it? Looks like we have another contender coming up lol.

Thanks, I don't think the 35r would have worked as well, I have no problem with lag and the car responds well.

to the best of my knowledge there are only 2 10-second preludes both are 4th gen.

the run was on 30 psi, but no a/c (due to the manifold). The only other stuff I took out are cruise, spare tire, and the jack.

dyno:

the car:

Video:

it starts part way into the run and focuses on the other board but you'll still get the point.

^ you own lol. But yea maybe backseats, cf hood, cf trunk, cf sunroof plug etc would be nice weight reduction ideas. Im sure you have a goal in mind and know how to achieve it. I was just putting it out there.

I have tokico illumina's and eibach springs on skunk2 sleeves (650 lb front, 1000 rear) and no traction bar. The car spins thru first gear but I really haven't had enough runs to play with tire pressure and launch RPM that much.

what all of us 5th genners strive for. this thread should be renamed and stickied. "Tuner's Dream: 5gen" hell .010 of a second? u could shave that time off by taking those stickers off your hooD!

verr nice to see a 5th gen close to breaking into the 10's.

Definitely! Besides the FMIC and huge tires up front, you'll never know it was capable of hitting those numbers!

With more seat time, you'll be in the 10's easy!

Are you going to be getting a traction bar setup? are you running on stock axels?

I love it!
0-100=~7sec
0-140=~11sec
Just awesome!!!
Are you staging the boost? That seems like alot of power to manage off the line!

I've seen your car around different forums before but I never knew Joe did the work. Do you ever come down to MIR to run?
