Default AEM v2 and DC headers

Sup everyone. New to honda-tech. Wanted to know if anyone had dyno results from the AEM V2 and DC sports headers or if anyone knows where i could find that info. I was thinking of getting em but wanted to see some comments on them first. Thanks
-Mike

Welcome to Honda-Tech. search the dyno page for numbers, either by my sig or The Essential Links.

Don't forget to search before you ask questions

From what i have heard...
save your money on the V2 and if name brand is your thing get an AEM CAI (dont forget the bypass if you drive in a lot of rain... you dont HAVE to have it but its a good idea) If you dont care about name brand get a cheap intake off ebay and put a new filter on it.
Short ram- Low end power
Cold air intake- high end power

If you have the money, and are willing to spend it... get SMSP headers ( around 1,000 i think)

I/E/H if matched up nice should get you about 10-15 HP

Correct me if I'm wrong on anything.

Just wondering. Ive been searcing around and I guess peopel dont like dc headers. I currently have jdm stock headers which people say that it is the same or even better than the dc. No proven dyno's yet. But if i could pick up a dc header for like dirt cheap would it even be worth installing?? It will give me some style points under the hood but i dont want any power loss for my car feels slow as crap already.

CLASSIC EXAMPLE of search first

JDM vs USDM vs DC SS Header

Cliffnotes since pics are up.
JDM and USDM very identical
DC are lighter
ALL the ID are the same. if there is a difference it wasnt significant.
DC longer primaries
and i think thats it.

people dog on DC bc they give little power, i HIGHLY doubt it loses power. but sorry to say its not dyno proven

when i got a dc header i felt absolutely no power gain at all. all it did was made my vtec louder and barely lighten the car of weight. it was the biggest waste of money i ever spent . i wish i had asked around before i got it.

the prelude header is well constructed and upgrading should not be the first thing on your mind.

Ideal intake set-up for H22-
Short ram with a cold air box.

Personally, i think the DC Headers suck. just save yuor money and get something custom made, its worth it in the end. I havent really seen any numbers on the version 2 i think they just trying to get more cash. id say stick with the CAI.

they are crap if you look closely at dc design
3rd gen ludes ,tegs, and a lot of other designs
the header is almost identical in form, there wasent much r&d if you ask me there just about maken some money they dont care if the design dosent make the most power.
