AEM EMS Series 2
I currently have these mods
AEM V2 w/ AEM Dryflow Filter
Professional Products 68mm Polished TB
Rosko ported & modded 68mm Euro R Intake Manifold
NGK 7mm Spark Plug Wires
Hytech Replica Header 2.5"
Magnaflow Metallic High Flow Cat I/O 2.5"
2.5" Resonator
Kteller 2.5" T304 Piping
Vibrant Muffler 2.5"
AEM Pulleys
aem ems series 2
tuning done to produce 170whp and 129.06trq
AEM wideband
stock injectors
walboro 255lph pump
May or may not help:
CC Delete (Intake air isn't going that way)
Deleted EGR (IDK if it hurts)
M2Y4 Tranny (bwah)
Mishimoto Radiator
Mishimoto Fans
B&M Tranny Cooler
I had complained about shitty ~21mpg with a stock ecu and now after all this have a whopping 17mpg after power and "fuel tuning" What the hell is going on that my mpg dropped? When I went there I was told I would get more power and better mpg and even went back for the fuel tune after the initial tune on the dynojet. He's saying if I went at a constant 60mph with barely touching the gas I'd get 35mpg. Now of course that will never happen but I'm leaned out a lot and barely ever hit VTEC. He says it'll go up in summer and doesn't want to lean it anymore drastically. I know I have an auto but this is ****ing silly. His wife's tuned 5peed gets 29mpg combined. Why is mine so difficult?

Re: AEM EMS Series 2
dyno tuned for the power, driven around for a week and tweaked for the gas. i know 5spd will give me better everything, isnt an option right now.

Re: AEM EMS Series 2
Who did this?
Was a wideband used?
You can tune partial throttle on the dyno as well.
Street tuning is not the best IMO unless you're making final adjustments at the track after a proper dyno tune.

Re: AEM EMS Series 2
on and off for a week
dms performance in dillsburg,pa. hes been tuning since late 90's
yes
proper power dyno tune was done on a dynojet. gas tune done under normal driving conditions.

Re: AEM EMS Series 2
Dynojet and dynapack.
Doesn't matter how long hes been tuning. The local tuner here tuned my motor at first and I went to someone good and it ended up making more power and ran way better.
