ac compressor
my compressor recently took a crap and i was wondering how hard it would be to rebuild it if i bought the parts myself. also would a ac compressor off a f series fit my ac bracket ? would you guys recomend me just get a used one at the junk yard?
you need either a H22A a/c or you can use an F series compressor but you need to change the braket with the f series. I might have a H22A4 compressor. If you want it make an offer, jr@typer.homeip.net. and i'll e-mail you tonorrow once i kow that i have it, even though i'm pretty sure.
i have 1 h22a ac compresor 95 with 30,000 miles on it email me at STR8PLAYAMADE@HOTMAIL.COM if you have any questions $80 bux shipped.
and plus to correct the above comments in order to use the accord compresor you can still reuse your prelude bracket but you have to use accord lines which are a diff setup. i have attemped so i know accord has 3 diff compressors 94-97

ok i just got the compressor to work again and the air works great but every now and then it will cut out for a while then work again... my mechanic said the clearance between the face of the compressor and theclutch are too far apart and the shim needs to be reduced...
Since we're talking about a/c stuff. Mine isn't working and I think it's b/c one of the fans behind the radiator isn't working anymore. Could this be the problem?

Bullshit, Mine used to do the same thing.. Its a connection problem underneith the dash where the harness plugs into the temp controls.. Take the harness, pull it to the side or something while the AC is on, and zip tie it in that position to make the contacts..
ok thanks alot. im going to have to try that tommorow and see what happens...
