ABS pump
i took my 1996 prelude si to honda and they said that i need a new abs pump i got one for $300 and was going to get to install it but someone said it might not even be the pump. they said honda would still get the same error as the pump if the brakes have not been blead after and new set of brakes have been installed. could it actually be that the brakes just need to be blead?

That's correct, cause your brake booster is hooked to your intake manifold. You should have a bit of resistance when pressing the brakes.
