Jump the check connector and check the code it has stored. It's the same process for the engine check light.

Mine also does the same. The ABS light does not come on whenever I start the car. I have to move forward a few feet before it clicks on. I still to this date don't know what it is. I don't think its throwing a code but I'll check again tomorrow.

I have a similar problem , the ABS light is always on , its been on for 1 year now and even my mechanic dose not seem to know what the problem is. They think it can be the abs sensor but so far nothing. Now for the strange part , normaly i have no ABS and i have been driving around with out ABS. This winter we got a **** load of snow here in toronto so i went out driving around type of rally stile and the ABS system kicked in , i felt the pedal kicking back during braking. I had ABS for a few days till it died again ...... Still have no fix

My car did that a few weeks ago. I checked the speed sensors and one of the screws on the bracket came loose. I tightened it and it was all good.
