93 Prelude
Having trouble with the passenger cv joint, cant get it to go back in place. Dont want to cut the boot, it pulled out slightly when I removed the hub assy. Replaced ball joints now cant get it to go back. The cv joint is still in trans good but axle wont go back. Any help would be great!
hey man i got a 93 too and i did this thing yesterday. you have to get a block of wood and hit it in with the hammer BUT MAKE SURE YOUR ALREADY IN THE THREADS. it should just be the ring that is hard to push in. so yea. get a block of wood and put it on the part ur pushing on and hit it a few good times. good luck

Did those sliders come out of the slots in the inboard joint? I guess I'm not understanding yawr question. You shouldn't have to cut the boot in any case, just loosen the band that clamps it and get ready for a mess.
I guess I didnt make my msg very clear. The axle is in the trans but the knuckle kinda came out of the cv joint inside the boot. You can feel the rollers at the edge of the cv joint but they just wont slide back in the joint. Does that inner knuckle only go one way or am I just a tard. Yes the sliders came out.
