Default '92 Prelude Sub installation problem

I am installing a new sub into my '92 Prelude SI and I have an idea how I want to run the wires from the battery to the Amp, but I am looking for more options, any suggestions?

there's not really that many different options in terms of running the power wire.
what mostly everyone does is run the wire through the rubber gromet under the fusebox, down the fender, in the car, to the trunk.

Here is the best way to do it.

Drill a hole through your firewall, or look for a rubber gourment that is plugging a hole in the firewall. If drilling, be sure the clearance on both sides is okay, you don't want to drill into something important.

Once you have the hole done, mount your fuse and wires, but DO NOT wire it to the battery. That is the last step.

As far as mounting the amp, I screwed it on the back of my sub. Another popular place is under the passanger seat. Personally I think on the back of your sub is the best way, unless of course the amp is longer in width than the sub.

Take your headunit out, plug in your RCA wires and splice your remote wire. Run those how you would like to going to the amp and put your headunit back in. Plug in the RCA and Remote wire. Next, get the ground wire and find a good place to do so. Drill a hole and use a screw and nut to secure that ground wire.

Once the ground wire, remote wire, RCAs are all plugged into the amp, go ahead and plug in the power wire. Wire your amp to the sub. Remember, one side is - other side is +. Once the sub is wired up to the amp, go to your battery and connect the power cable to it. Don't let music play just turn on your radio and see if you get power to your amp. If you do, adjust your amp. DO NOT go over 3/4 turn on most amps, it will blow really quickly. Usually about a half turn is plenty. Then from there adjust it from your headunit. Then crank up the music and enjoy.

Hope this helps.. just a basic write-up I made because of boredom. If you have any questions then just post them here.

ya mount it on the back of your sub so if anyone gets into your trunk they have a nice little amp and sub package.
do the grommet under the fuse box and run the rca's down the middle. much easier and is away from the power wire so you don't get feedback.
also you can hook the power wire to the battery but leave the fuse out until you're done. this way you don't have to mess with guessing how much you can pull/leave.

also tuning it is more complex than previously described
leave the gain down and turn the music to normal listening level. then adjust the amp until it sounds good and there is no distortion<just listen for it> then you can adjust the bass level and frequency knows<if available>
the frequency shouldn't be higher than 50htz<that's a little high even>
bass level is up to you.
i've done this to many cars<how i make my living> so i know this works better than other ways.
