Default 5th Gen PROBLEM PLEASE HELP!

Ok. So I've had my 1999 Prelude for about a year now, and it has been having this problem since about 2 months after I bought it. The car jumps forward (its kind of hard to explain) every time I take my foot off the gas (only when its having this problem) and when I come to a complete stop and try to start out in 1st the tach goes crazy and its really hard to drive when its happening. It has a chipped ECU AND I CANT GET ANY CEL CODES! The problem is intermittant, it does not do it all the time, sometimes in town, sometimes on the freeway with cruise control on. I've taken it to a couple of shops and they couldn't tell me anything. I know its not the fuel pump, what I thought the problem was before. Has anyone had this happen to them before? If I can't fix this I fear that I will have to sell it and I really don't want to sell it, but this is unbearable.

the jerking sounds like a similar problem other ppl have been having. i believe they said it was the tps. do correct me if im wrong. you could try running a search on that and see if it's similiar to what you're having. good luck man.

when mine was auto there was a short in the wiring that caused a similar problem so you might have one somewhere.

if the chip is socketed into the ecu its possible that it is coming loose. it used to happen to me alot when my p72 was chipped with crome. the tach would jump all over.

I'm not really sure what ECU I have. It was chipped and most of the mods came on it to begin with when I bought the car it looks like it had a dry shot of nitrous that was taken off before I got it. The ECU chip is a frog or something like that. Its chipped to be OBD1 because the O2 sensor is gone dude to using a DC Header.
