Anybody know what the problem is?

I tested the alternator, it's ok. I've put in new plugs and wires. Someone suggested the main relay.

Any ideas?

i cleaned out the IAVC valve with some brake cleaner and reinstalled. still doing the same thing.

anyone care to share any knowledge?

 

Uhh..any engine codes? How is your idle? Can you give more details about the stalling? When does it happen? What are the conditions? Etc...

 

no codes. idle when i first start it goes way down and dies. stalling happens at start up and anytime i'm driving, shift into neutral, it idles way down and dies 90% of the time.

- one day i went to start in the morning and the battery was completely drained. got it charged up , and pulled the starter to test at o'riellys, was just fine. alternator was recently tested at o'riellys too and works fine.

- i noticed some oil deposits inside my distributor housing and cap. as well as dist. having funky green metal shavings.
