Default 1992 prelude SR problems :( :( :(

Ok guys, its my first time here, im hoping you guys could really help me out. Im very frustrated by my car, and im growing impatient.

Here goes: I have multiple problems with the car, maybe they're related, maybe they're not. Here we go, first off, i bought tthe car back in sept, used with 178,000KM on it. It ran very well, even had a compression test done and its great (200,195,200,195) it started off doing about 450km to a full tank of gas, but then it started to dip for some reason and its been getting prgressively worse. Im now down to about 300-320km a tank (its winter here in Montreal). I had the injectors cleaned here at canadian tire, and still nothing. while the gas was going down, i started to have idle problems with the car. the idle would be very very low at times. So i thought maybe the fuel filter had to be changed, so i changed the one in the front of the car. still nothing, it kept the same. Now what happens is when the car is idling low, ill rev it past 5,500 rpm, and then it'll be fine for a couple of min till it does it again. Its probably idline somewhere between 500-600rpm, and when i just tap the gas pedal, it will dip down to even 2 or 300 rpm and then come back to 5-600rpm... its very confusing, and im also buring a HELL of a lot of oil. its not actually leaking but its being burnt.. It took me about 2 months to burn a full tank of oil... .. this is extremely frustrating for me as i dont have thousands and thousands of $$$ to spend on buying a new car or an engine and whatnot. plz plz plz help.
Thanks
Joey

Have you tried to adjust the screw for the throttle a little bit?
as for burning oil, i would start off changing your pcv valve
if you haven't already

What exactly is a PCV valve and what does it do?
and do you think that by adjusting the throttle screw it might help, and my gas mileage would go back
cause i mean ive lost 120km+ a tank

what does your car do to a tank?

i not sure but im pretty sure in winter u get less gas miledge, at leaste thats what the techs a Lexus said. also check your alighnment tire pressure anything suspension related. also have you been carrying anyextra weight? as far as the oil im guessing by your miledge your not going that high in the rpm range so id say put some of that engine sealer ****. its in a silver can i know checkers carries it. its called engine restorer or something! try that and see if it helps

I wouldn't use any of that stuff if you plan on rebuilding your
engine anytime soon.

Ok here's another update from the morning after. Its still happening to me. The idle is still diping down very low once in a while... i dont know what it could be. I also have another symptom that i forgot to mention... when i start the car and just get going, the engine stutters a lot, and sometimes the car wont even accelerate how its supposed to until i floor it... then once i floor it, i wont have acceleration problems... help plz

If you haven't changed the distributor cap and rotor you might want to check it out. This can cause low idle problems and stuttering off the line.

I know that this is jsut a far guess, but I had a ford a while ago that had this problem. I had some bent valves that were just robbing me of alot. Whe I stepped on the accelerator, there would be nothing untill I floored it. Get is cecked out either by a mechanic or yourself if you know what you are doing.

I guess ultimately, you guys on the message board can only give me suggestions, so i should really go to a mechanic or to honda to get i tchecked out..

i mean it cant really be bent valves cause once i floor it the first time its perfect... there is no need for me to floor it again cause the acceleration would be smooth after that..

maybe something is blocked... maybe its not enough air, or too much CO2
