I then assembled the flooring and prepped it for cutting. I added tape to keep from fraying the edges and used a fine tooth laminate blade in my jigsaw.

I then turned it over and cut it out. I had previously cut the mdf in half long ways so that I could get it in the trunk. I also Made a brace where the spar used to be out of MDF bolted to a piece of 2" steel pipe.

That was by no means the last of the cutting, but gave me a really good idea of the contour of the pieces. After a few swear words later:

Rolled the Lude out of the garage to start auto-x prepping the SVT Focus and snapped some quick cell phone pics. A little dusty from all the work this winter!

Why not put a Weber kit on your car it should be a lot easier and cheaper too. It will probably git you more power to boot.
