wont start after wreck. not tipper switch
Well as most of u know i wrecked a few weeks ago the forks got completely ripped off
well i started gettin parts in and decided to try and start the bike
well it was on its side for a while and i know a good amount of oil leaked outta the head gasket while it was on its side.
well i had it sitting up a few days and i tried to start it and it wouldnt start. all electronics work pump primes, etc. when i try to turn it over it will make 1 noise and only 1 time. its kind of like a clunk. but not really hard to explain. its not really loud but deff comming from engine (only tried it once)
but i know its not the tipper sensor cause i had that bypassed by a pin.
do u think the motor seized up? that really is all i can think of. but i dont see how it would seize just by trying to start it one time
is there anything else to look for after a wreck
and yes it was in neutral and the kickstand was up.
thanks
mike

Have you tried replacing your spark plugs? It may be fouled. Also, check the ignition coil, and make sure it's clean with no oil around it. And, you probably want to plug back in the tip over sensor. It's there to shut down the engine, and prevent damages during a crash.

no i havent. havent really started to tear it apart. dont see how fouled plugs would cause it unless its really bad.
im just worried about the motor seizin up cause of low/no oil when i tired to start it, even though i only tried to turn it over 2 times

*(someone mentiond that it could be hydrolocked. do u think that is it?
hum well when i start replacing the plastics i will check them out. could they go bad just from sittin a while. its been about a month its been on its side a few weeks or so and in the rain a few times.
on another note. gay *** ups lost my left side plastic and right side plastic today - they said they delievered it to my house but i never got it, and they are just giving me the run around.
