Patching car tires, sure. Patching motorcycle tires, no f-ing way. My safety is worth a lot more than saving a couple bucks riding on a busted tire.

I have done it before if it is right in the center of the tire.....
Have it patched from the inside at a local tire shop and it should be fine. Get the ones that have the plug attached to the patch. Replace 500 miles or so before you normally would and you will be fine.

If you've never done it-don't comment.
I've rode a Michelin with a patch in the tread groove probably 2oclock from center for 4000+ miles, was like that when I bought the bike. It was fine at 30 miles of 90mph, hottest summer days-everyday. Held up just fine at 150mph.

i've done it too on two of my bikes and other bikes. have never had any issues. as long as its close to the center i think it'll be fine.

I recommend buying a race take off for dirt cheap. You can get a diablo corsa III or supercorsa, or pp2ct race take off for 50-80$ So my opinion, dont ride with that tire, or try to patch it.

As long as its in the tread you should plug it. Hell I'd plug my sidewall too if it was a small puncture. Plugs are made to last the life of the tire and guess what...they do, I know from experience with both cars and bikes.

You might get to find out if god really exists.
Just kidding. People are really **** about their safety but I don't really see how a patch on the inside of a tire would fail.

A patch-plug (a patch, with a plug made onto it) installed from the inside is probably fine for normal riding; I wouldn't trust it for any spirited riding or track days however.

Re: What do you think about plugging tires??
and as far as patching tires i would recommend using the plug patch as stated above becuase its inside the tire and cant fall out. i say its fine for the back but really wouldnt do the front.
and if your worried if it is gonna lose air? they say to check your tire pressure before every ride
