Waiting and Waiting and.... finally, MY WISH MAY come true!!!
So, I've wanted a Hayabusa since I bought my 954 in '02. HOWEVER, I felt that getting back on a bike after a few years off it, would not be good to start on such a bike....
So, in '03, Suzuki released that beautiful copper Limited Anniversary Edition and I was SO close to buying it, but ended up keeping my 954 due to financial reasons....
Now, it's 2005 and I'm seriously considering just trading in my bike in bone stock form for this....
I bring you the 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa Limited.....

X-Cuze me while go take care of some MANLY business......

Couldnt agree with you more, but they are fun as hell to ride. I wouldnt want to own one but jumping on a buddy's for a day is kinda nice. Be prepared for a big handling difference from your 954. That flickability is just gone.

The Hayabusa is completely foreign to me. What is this "all aroundness" that they're talking about?

Flick-ablity I could care less about. I'm looking for....
a) COMFORT
b) Rider position (I'm 6', but I have short legs)
c) Overall ride-ability
Don't get me wrong, the 954 has been FUN, but I think I've outgrown it.

How is the 636 an Alien? I think it looks more like a wasp.
Anyway the busa I'm sure is very fast but I can't get over the way it looks

True that they're not the prettiest things but they do so much so well that I was able to (pretty much) get over the distinctive looks.
Dual mufflers are mainly for volume and also help support the subframe on these things.
If ya find leg room a lil cramped - spend $25 at a Buell dealer for xb12r pegs - they'll lower the pegs bout 1/2".
Busa's are one of the best stock platforms to modify - BAR NONE!

it is ugly as sin but serves a purpose. angles = air turbulence, smooth, gradual curves are better.

Actually the busa fairings are made with a purpose. The busa is the ONLY bike designed in a wind tunnel. Aerodynamics allow this bike a top speed in excess of 220mph. Not like I have the ***** to achieve such a speed, but it's possible. Other 1000+cc bikes may be able to reach the 180+ mark, but when you get higher, aerodynamics play a MAJOR role for stability and control.
