Vid: Driver rearends a group of riders
Driver on a cell phone rearends a group of riders...
This is what the orig post stated: (Don't know if it's true) I'm skeptical b/c at the end of the vid they had a 2nd camera view, why?
CLIFFNOTES OF STORY: Guy says he was on his cell phone and wasnt paying attention. Ran full speed into a group of riders, killing some. When the cops came he paid them $30,000 and was let go.

Thats some fucked up ****, but it does look real to me. How could someone be so careless, and for him getting off for that just amazes me.

Re: Vid: Driver rearends a group of riders (georgiajdm)
friend called me last night and told me about this - i really want to know what happened. bikes were definitnely being filmed for something. but the cameras didnt seem to be set up to film the wreck, just the bikes...so i dont think the wreck was planned.

Re: (Wicker Man)
Grabbed this off another forum:
MEXICO CITY (Hollywood Reporter) - Mexican television actor Edgar Ponce died Thursday after a car plowed into a motorcycle he was riding during the unauthorized filming of an advertisement.
Ponce, who has appeared on numerous telenovelas, died early Thursday morning in a Mexico City hospital; three other actors, also riding motorcycles at the time, sustained injuries. The accident occurred during the filming of an advertisement for "Solo Para Mujeres" (For Women Only), a live male striptease show. The ad was to air on Televisa variety show "No Manches."
According to a statement released from the Mexico City police department, the shoot took place on a main artery in southern Mexico City. The police report said a speeding vehicle slammed into a caravan of moving motorcycles used for the plug. Producer Sergio Mayer "did not request police assistance" for the filming, the department said.
A spokesman at Mexico City's attorney general's office said the driver had alcohol on his breath yet it still hasn't been determined if he had passed the legal limit. He added that the driver and the producer could be held responsible for the actor's death.
Mayer acknowledged at a Thursday press conference that he did not have permission to film and said that Televisa had nothing to do with the production. Televisa declined comment.

Unfortunately, that's how the cops work down there. I'm not saying that ALL cops from Mexico are corrupt, but there's been a couple of times where me or my friends had to "pay up" or risk going to jail.... for doing nothing but being an American!

Re: (mugensport9)
guess i was wrong
my uncle high up in mexican government and i had this conversation today (take into acount his english education is of mexican college level. hes lived in mex his whole life.)
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
but not everything you watch on the news is true
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
I mean, there's a lot of bullshit floating around the news here
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
I'm not saying he wasn't drunk
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
or anything
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
but don't believe all you see
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
here in Monterrey, if you're drunk and kill someone on an accident, you can not get out on parole
Gus says:
i dont know if its true if the man didnt go to jail or not. but i READ he paid this off for only 30 thousand dollars. might be bullshit tho
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
it happens
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
everywhere
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
people are prone to do that
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
money talks
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
sad but true
Gus says:
but what do u think the probability is that the police man covered up this murder that (take into acount was on tape) of an actor for 30 thousand dollars?
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
well, I'd say it is likely to happen
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
if he thought nobody was aware
ROBARON A CASTILLO!!! says:
a policeman makes peanuts a year, and 30k is good money for them
sad stuff
